PEG's video: Alpha Mission NES - Full Run with No Deaths 2 Loops

Today we have a full run of Alpha Mission by SNK, one of the lesser known/forgotten shmups on the NES. In Japan this game was called Armored Scrum Object or ASO I cleared 2 loops (2-ALL) without dying with a score over 500K, after which I quit the game. Game was played on real hardware. It's not utterly terrible but it's not good, and there isn't really a lot to it. You can collect powerups including L for your laser and M for your missile, and S for your speed. You will want to max all of them. You also collect special weapons via certain red ship looking icons that give you new abilities. Other than that you basically have to manage your pickups and build up your energy (E item) in order to maintain your weapons. You will want to avoid the "darker reverse" letter items, as they drain your power. Avoid reverse K and C "power ups" at all costs, as those will turn your ship into a useless, slow, piece of junk. To be perfectly honest, all of the special weapons are completely useless other than the SHEELD. Yes, that is how it is spelled in this game. Just pick up the shield and try and maintain your energy level so you can absorb shots or ships running into you. If you don't have a shield, you die in 1 hit. Without the shield, this game is substantially harder.
