PERMANENT RECORD DRUMS's video: Forest Illumination at Valley Vibes Music Festival

My Forest Illumination was a dream come true. Feeling very thankful for the opportunity to turn this dream into a reality at Valley Vibes. Hoping to further my vision of interfacing technology and nature with more performances like this one in the coming year. Background/Details: I’ve been exploring the interface of nature and technology as an outlet for my musical/visual imagination for a year now. Over the past 3 months I composed a full sensory percussion set and programmed accompanying lights for every movement of each piece in preparation for a mobile light show experience. I arrived at Cherokee Farms in LaFayette, GA on Friday afternoon. Spent around 2-3 hours up a ladder and up in the trees running hundreds of feet of LED tape, setting up my kit, and setting up my PA. Did multiple performances through both Friday and Saturday nights. Sunday morn I was back into the trees to take it all down. I’m...a bit tired. I really relished the chance to manifest my aesthetic vision and have it resonate with an audience and I look forward to recreating and building off of this experience.
