Now usually we would be at our dedicated quiet roads or at the track to fully exploit the capabilities of such a car, but this story was about the brand in general and their current model lineup and not a performance review which is why we were filming on a busy highway shooting out the back of a tracking vehicle - we were not performance testing. I have been doing this job for a long time - 12 years in fact - so am very comfortable with the rules of the road and with the safe operation of a vehicle. I do find it fascinating though how my asking why was more of an issue than the fact that my trade plate wasn't displayed and it remains my opinion that had I have rolled on by in a Polo without the plate displayed, this would never have happened. I will leave you to be the judge of the interaction and how it unfolded - but I know I should have handled things differently. I would love to engage with the JMPD on this because I think the education of both motorists and law enforcement around regulations and their implementation is crucial BUT more importantly, how both parties interact with each other.
