@Honda Hornet 2.0 BS6 - My honest opinion and overview !
New 2020 Hornet 2.0 BS6 - My honest opinion and overview Honda has unleashed its brand new Hornet 2.0, its first performance-oriented naked above 160cc. The Hornet 2.0 is priced at Rs 1,26,921 (ex-showroom Delhi). It might be around Rs 30,000 dearer than the outgoing CB Hornet 160R but the new naked has a larger engine, better mechanicals and updated styling. Honda has started dispatching units with the bikes expected to reach its touchpoints across the country by the first week of September. Hornet 2.0 Specifications The 184cc single-cylinder air-cooled mill on the Hornet 2.0 is the largest that Honda makes in India. It produces 17.27PS at 8,500rpm and 16.1Nm at 6,000rpm. Honda claims it has a healthy mid-range performance. However, these figures aren’t comparable to 200cc motorcycles like the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V or the Bajaj Pulsar NS 200. These are more in tune with bikes like the Bajaj Pulsar 180F and the TVS Apache RTR 180 2V. The Hornet 2.0 gets a simple five-speed transmission. The Hornet 2.0 becomes Honda’s first made-in-India product to offer a USD fork. It is the most affordable motorcycle on sale with a USD fork. At the rear, a preload-adjustable monoshock is affixed to a box-section swingarm. Petal disc brakes add to the premium quotient of the Hornet 2.0, but only a single-channel ABS system is offered. Hornet 2.0 Design There is an air of familiarity in the design of the Hornet 2.0. It looks quite similar to its predecessor: the CB Hornet 160R. The sharp tank extensions, edgy body panels, and the chunky gold USD fork keep up the sporty trait that one associates with the Hornet name. You get a small belly pan too that protects the chunky cat-con. The exhaust is short and stubby with a blacked-out muffler cover. The Hornet 2.0 arrives in four colours: grey, blue, red and black. Hornet 2.0 Features Honda has been a purveyor of LED lighting as all lighting systems use this modern technology. The aggressive toothed face is reminiscent of the older 160cc Hornet but it looks better on the new bike with those fat gold USDs. A blue backlit LCD digital cluster displays odo, trip, gear position indicator, speedometer, bar-type tachometer, a clock and a fuel gauge. Sadly, there’s no range or distance-to-empty feature. Honda kitting the Hornet 2.0 with an engine kill switch was obvious but you also get a hazard toggle switch on the naked. Honda Hornet 2.0 Competitors Honda aims to position the Hornet 2.0 between the 160cc and 200cc bikes in India with decent kit on offer. Hence, motorcycles like the Bajaj Pulsar 180F and the TVS Apache RTR 180 2V are its primary rivals. But considering its pricing, the larger Pulsar NS 200 and Apache RTR 200 4V are on par with the new Honda naked. This is a detailed analysis Overview of New 2020 Hornet 2.0 BS6 revealed last week of August 2020. This video will brief out the details on specifications and information which will help you for making decision to purchase this bike. .0 Follow me in instagram - @prorideranurag @_revhead_ For any questions, post it in comments section and I will reply on same.
