PS22 Chorus's video: PS22 Chorus Going Home Olivia De Havilland Tribute

I can't be the only one who hoped and wondered if the actress's immortality might indeed extend beyond the screen (she survived 104 years on this planet!), but yesterday Olivia was called home. I first heard the song, "Going Home," in the film, THE SNAKE PIT, which is a harrowing (if now dated) look at the cruelty and mistreatment of the mentally ill. The song takes place at a crucial moment in the film for Olivia's character and always stimulates the ol' tear ducts. I'm assuming I must have watched the movie for the fiftieth time or so back in 2005 which I've no doubt inspired me to have the chorus cover it. This performance is 15 years old but remains one of my favorite PS22 Chorus "vintage years" recordings. And just to put said years into perspective, the soloist Alissa is NOW my colleague at PS22, and has been for the past few years! How the time flies! But beauty is timeless and lives immortal, even when the body gives out. So RIP Olivia De Havilland. I have seen literally every movie you ever made. Your acting, your elegance, and your strength of character definitely have inspired me and so many more. We present this today in your honor, as it was no small part your brilliant performance in THE SNAKE PIT that inspired the one presented here.
