Probably something that will never happen again. When the Coast Starlight calls for a freight engine, normally we see BNSF or Union Pacific. Well, out of all the engines that it could be, it happened to be Norfolk Southern Dash 9 . The true rarity speaks for itself. I only wish I could have captured it in better quality but this will do. Here is train blasting through Glendale, CA just moments away from its final stop of Los Angeles, CA with NS 9834 leading the way about 25 minutes late. Sorry about it being narrow. Shot with my phone. Enjoy the video!
