🙏 Jai bhole ki 🙏. Tahuli Peak is located at an altitude of 2,600 feet above sea level. Base village is Kushivali located at a distance of 70 km from Mumbai. It is a relatively long trek of about 18 kms total from base village to Dada Amma summit and back. We left Mumbai at night and reached the base village in 2 hrs. After a power nap and breakfast, we began our trek at 6.45 am. Nice and easy path through fields for about 45 mins. Haji Malang is visible on the right hand side. We had full cloud cover. The climb now begins. Some times through muddy patches and some area covered with small rocks. Monsoon season is the best time for this trek. Full forest cover and a variety of colourful flowers. Plenty of crystal clear water sources. An open air Shiv temple is present en route. The locals are constructing a temple here. Reached Tahuli ridge at 11.40. Ahead is the Dadi amma peak and behind is the Panch Peer. Both places revered by muslims. The ridge offers an amazing view with steep falls on both sides. A little before the summit is the samadhi of Kailashi Ramu baba. 10 minutes further up is the peak of Tahuli. A fresh water tank provides clean potable water. An open air Shivling and padukas carved out on the rock are present here. Plenty of monkeys too. Further ahead is a compound containing the graves of Dadi amma and her four sahelis. Another compound houses the graves of Chacha and his 2 nephews.People come here to pay their respects. 3 kuccha houses are located here with a few families living in them. They look after the open air temple and graves on the summit. After an hour, we had our lunch and began our descend. Slippery in many areas due to the monsoon. The descend ended at 16.30. A waterfall was there enroute. We all had a refreshing bath before returning to the base village. Hot snacks and tea.Back to Mumbai. 🙏 Jai bhole ki 🙏
