Muore a Roma la scrittrice Luce d’Eramo, pseudonimo di Lucette Mangione. Di famiglia fascista, la D’Eramo si rende conto delle atrocità commesse dal nazismo solo quando va lei stessa a lavorare nei campi di lavoro tedeschi. Il 27 febbraio 1945, mentre aiuta a scavare fra le macerie per recuperare i feriti, un muro le crolla addosso lasciandola paralizzata alle gambe. Nel suo capolavoro, “Deviazione”, pubblicato nel 1979, la d’Eramo racconta questa esperienza.
