Playing 'Blue Sparks' without the rest of Red River Dialect brought on a longing to be amongst the full world of this song again, as it is played by all of us on the version which opens 'Abundance Welcoming Ghosts.' It is a longing song, reaching out for more magic, more liberation, more contact. The fulfilment it reaches out for is slippery and elusive, and may be phantom.
