Parallel Coaching - Personal Trainer Courses's video: Shoulder joint vs shoulder girdle skeleton anatomy

@Shoulder joint vs shoulder girdle #skeleton #anatomy
The difference between The Shoulder Joint and The Shoulder Girdle is often confused when studying for the Level 3 PT anatomy exam. These are two distinctly different joints, with different purposes. 👉The shoulder joint is a ball and socket joint. Here the head of the humerus and the glenoid fossa of the scapula, meet to create the gelnoid cavty. This joint allows for 9 different joint actions, and is a very freely moveable joint. 👉The shoulder girdle, is different. This is made up of the scapula and the clavicle, which allows for 4 different joint actions. 👉Use the two blog links below (copy and paste into your browser) to find out more about the joint actions at the shoulder joint and shoulder girdle. 👉Shoudler Joint: https://parallelcoaching.co.uk/9-movements-that-occur-at-the-shoulder-joint 👉Shoulder Girdle: https://parallelcoaching.co.uk/4-movements-that-occur-at-the-shoulder-girdle 👉Plus, comment below to let us know which joints you’d like to know more about.
