ParkesShireCouncil's video: Growing Local Economies Fund Delivers for Parkes Hub Development

The Hon Rick Colless of the NSW Government announced $8.4m in funding to enable Parkes Shire Council to extend roads and services to fully activate the 600 hectare Parkes National Logistics HUB. The National Hub is going from strength to strength, driven by the promise of nearly $10 billion committed by consecutive Australian governments. The Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) has contracted INLink to deliver the $300 million Parkes to Narromine section of inland rail starting with the north-west link through the National Logistics HUB. Pacific National are investing $35 million to activate their logistics park at Parkes and both SCT Logistics and Linfox are already active participants at the HUB. The construction activity is impressive now…but this s just the start. So to all levels of government and all those supporting this very important national transport and development node, we say thank you.
