Parmenides of YouTubes's video: Why Division Disalienation of Pan-Africanism Socialism Afro-Pessimism

@Why Division? | Disalienation of Pan-Africanism & Socialism | Afro-Pessimism
In this video, I am giving my critique of Afro-pessimism. I was hoping for this to be straightforward and quick; however, I did spend a little more time than planned on background on particular ideas and deviations in philosophy and social theory, as well as on the analysis of Afro-pessimism itself. Regardless, I'm going to put the chapters below, so if you want to skip over the intro or to a particular part in the video to get the point, you can go there and get it rather quickly. Video content ------------------------------------------------- 0:00 - Intro 10:53 - Proper Historical Development of Philosophy 18:29 - Deviations in Philosophy 31:17 - Changes in Education 39:35 - Black Radical Tradition, 20th-Century Deviations, Postmodernism, & CRT 51:57 - Critique of Afro-Pessimism 1:03:06 - Sources - More Critique of Afro-Pessimism Overview of Criticism of Afro-Pessimism: 1) black = slave vs. Human – social death; natal alienation; patterson, et al. truth: blackness is categorically defined by the social relation of enslavement rebuttal: does not sufficiently define the social relation 2) collective unconscious – anti-blackness necessary for identity truth: anti-blackness is pervasive rebuttal: no such collective unconscious 3) conflict vs. antagonism - capital (labor vs. boss) - working day - colonial (native vs. settler) - land - blackness - not mediated truth: black is fundamentally antithetical in relation - cannot be analogized rebuttal: same 4) end of the world – no transformative capacity truth: ending relation is the end of the world in the sense of fundamentally altering rebuttal: same superficial issues: - admittedly a simple "analytic" of black suffering - doesn't account for complete social analysis and functionality - admittedly uses other people's work out of context and/or incorrectly applied - uses made-up concepts without a theoretical basis - no intellectual antecedents beyond postmodernism and late 20th-century thought - a contradiction in class position - favored by the ruling class
