Padre Pio est le surnom d'un capucin et prêtre italien né Francesco Forgione, le 25 mai 1887 à Pietrelcina (province de Campanie, Italie), mort le 23 septembre 1968. Il avait pris le nom de Pie (en italien Pio) quand il rejoignit l'ordre des frères mineurs capucins. Il fut connu pour être le premier prêtre et l'un des rares hommes à qui l'on attribue des stigmates. Il a été canonisé par l'Église catholique romaine en 2002 sous le nom de Saint Pio de Pietrelcina.
