Parsha in 60 Seconds's video: Parsha in 60 Seconds Presents Vayishlach

@Parsha in 60 Seconds Presents Vayishlach
Parsha in 60 Seconds Presents Vayishlach Shalom and welcome to the Parsha in 60 seconds Today's portion is from Genesis 32:4--36:43 it is called Vayishlach which means "and he sent" As Jacob returned home he sent many gifts ahead of him to butter up Esau, the messenger brought him news that Esau was coming to "meet" him and Jacob was scared. He sent his entire family and everything ahead of him and stayed behind for the night. Cough Coward* That night Jacob literally wrestled with God who dislocated his hip. Jacob would not tap out until God had blessed him. God renamed Jacob Israel, for he had striven with God and with men and prevailed. The next morning Jacob was reunited with Esau and Esau met the whole family. Jacob was in Shechem when his daughter Dinah caught the eye of the prince of the land, who forced himself on her. The prince wanted to marry Dinah but the brothers knew what had happened and told Shechem the prince that all the men must be circumcised. Shechem agreed. On the third day, when the men of the city were in pain, Jacob's sons Simeon and Levi killed all the men and took Dinah out of the city. God told Jacob to move to Bethel and while there God blessed Jacob who was now called Israel. Soon after, Rachel died giving birth to Benjamin. Reuben lay with Jacob's concubine, and Israel found out. Jacob reunited with Isaac at Hebron, Isaac died at the old age of 180, and Esau and Jacob buried him. Esau moved away because they both needed more space. And that is Vayishlach in 60 seconds. Subscribe today and become a fan http://www.facebook.com/Parshain60
