ABOUT OUR GUEST Hayk Nazaryan: I was born in Los Angeles on May 12, 1989 I have 2 older bros and 1 older sister. My parents emigrated to the United States at the beginning of 1988, before the collapse of the Soviet Union. I got kicked out of my high school at age 16 and dropped out altogether in 2006. Started working regular minimum wage jobs before beginning Glendale Community College in 2009. I transferred to CSUN (California State University Northridge) in 2011 where I got my Bachelors of Science in 2013, after which I visited Armenia for the first time in my life. I opened my online tutoring business which I have been running ever since. I was also teaching at CSUN as an adjunct professor while pursuing a Masters of Science degree in Physics, which I obtained in 2015. After that, I started teaching as an adjunct professor at Glendale Community College but at the beginning of 2016, I felt a calling to move to Armenia. A couple of months later the Four Day war started in Armenia which really motivated me. I packed all my belongings and moved in November of 2016. I even declined a job offer at JPL (Jet Propulsion Laboratory) before moving out. I bought a house here in Armenia, remodelled it, became a citizen, joined the army as a contract soldier to gain experience for about 8 months (6 months at the frontline in Tavush). After leaving the army I continued improving my Armenian, working out and running my online business. When the war broke out in Artsakh I volunteered on the second day and got sent out to the Martakert region where I stayed the whole war without a shift change.
