It’s day 11 of Red Bull X-Alps and I was finally up in the thermal air again! I touched the next turnpoint at Piz Palü and continued very fast towards to turnpoint 11, Kronplatz. It looked quite good that I would make it, but just before Bormio a thunderstorm hit me and forced me to land, destroying all climbed altimeters from the morning as fast as possible. And so the last remaining option was to hike up Passo Stelvio for 3h and fly down to the Vinschgau valley... .
