TIANANMEN 1989 - A MEMORANDUM multimedia installation of photographs taken by Chris Niedenthal in May 1989 at the Square of Heavenly Peace in Beijing, the capital city of China, where students were demonstrating for democracy in public life. Those students protests has been bloodily suppressed by the Chinese Army during the night of 3 and 4 june of 1989 The Statue of The Goddess of Democracy carved by Mateusz Michalczyk as a memorandum of the giant statue of the Goddess of Democracy which was erected during the last 5 days of students protest and was destroyed by chinese tank. This photoinstallation was a part of a big photo exhibition of Chris Niedenthal 'POLAND - CHINA - EUROPE 1989' exposed at European Solidarity Centre, ECS in Gdańsk, Poland between 3.06-3.11 of 2019
