Pawinning's video: How To Replace A Blown Axle CV-Joint On A Porsche 911 Turbo 996 997

@How To Replace A Blown Axle CV-Joint On A Porsche 911 Turbo (996/997)
In this video my friend Forrest needed a front axle replaced in his 2004 Porsche 911 Turbo. The CV-joint blew out (a tear in the rubber boot allowed bearing/joint grease to drain out = excess friction/wear). After reading up on a few procedures online, we decided to tackle the repair ourselves in my garage to get this daily driver back on the road. Join us to see how this procedure can be done quickly with basic tools (with the exception of a torque wrench rated for over 350 ft-lbs). Alternatively, we could have just replaced the actual CV-joint in his axle. Because his car is relatively old with high mileage, we believed a full axle replacement was a better choice. We also wanna note that in the Porsche factory manual, it calls for the removal of the brake caliper and rotor. However, as you can see in the install that its not-required.
