PelletierPhysics's video: Ravigneaux compound planetary gear set

@Ravigneaux compound planetary gear set
This movie show a Ravigneaux compound planetary gear set, used in automatic transmissions. It is made of two planetary geartrains sharing the same ring gear (in the movies, the ring gear has been split in two parts to better see the inner mechanism). The two yellow ring gears turn together. All planets (short and long) are on the same planet carrier.
