A quick and beginner friendly guide on how to install Dirt 3 Complete Edition on Ubuntu with PlayOnLinux and Wine, as requested. This tutorial can be used for any version of Ubuntu or other Linux OS that supports PlayOnLinux 4.2 and newer. Please make sure that you have your graphics drivers installed if you're using Nvidia or AMD graphics cards. This guide is unlikely to work on Intel iGPU's, but please do share in the comments if you're successful. WARNING: Any future updates to Dirt 3 CE or Steam can cause breakages. I cannot predict these in my guide. To follow this video, you will need: 1. PlayOnLinux 4.2 or greater 2. SteamSetup.exe 3. Wine 1.9.0 (or newer) installed in POL Get SteamSetup.exe from here: https://steamcdn-a.akamaihd.net/client/installer/SteamSetup.exe Get PlayOnLinux from here: https://www.playonlinux.com/en/download.html To more advanced users who do not wish to watch the video: 1. Install libopenal1:i386 if you're on a 64bit OS 2. In the system folder of Dirt 3 CE, open the file hardware_settings_config.xml and change the section that reads forcedx9="false" to true instead. 3.
