Penguin Recordings's video: Saints Row IV Gameplay Performance on Ubuntu Native

@Saints Row IV Gameplay & Performance on Ubuntu (Native)
Saints Row IV running natively on Ubuntu 15.10 64bit! We take a quick look at the AMD performance of the game. This new title to Linux is brought to us by Deep Silver and Virtual Programming. I run the game at Ultra and at the Lowest settings in this video to give you an idea of what framerates you can achieve with an AMD card. It's been a long time coming and it's finally here for both Linux and SteamOS. I run Saints Row IV with my AMD R9 390 card this time because the game is an AMD Gaming Evolved game. Since AMD did not see fit to remove their logo and video from the game, I can only presume it means they believe it runs adequately enough on their current drivers. My performance with SRIV on my R9 390 is pretty abysmal. Barely ever touching 30fps regardless of graphics settings is a painful sight. It can be expected that if this is how it performs on the Crimson driver, then the RadeonSI driver will perform a lot less. This has been true for all of VP's previous ports I've tested (Dirt Showdown, Spec Ops, Bioshock Infinite). The good side of this port is that there is haptic feedback for my 360 controller, the graphical settings that are exposed are exactly the same as the ones I get on Windows, and lastly that it seems to support saves from Windows so you can play between OS's without a hitch. Highly recommended to play this title with a 360 controller, and at it's low price during sales it's a steal! Performance does suck, but at it least it seems to run for now. I believe the rest is up to AMD, and whether or not they care about tarnishing their image further in the Linux gaming scene. I used GLXOSD for the framerate counter, as Steam's overlay fps counter would crash the game (no doubt a fault in AMD's driver).
