Penguin Recordings's video: Transport Fever Gameplay and Performance on Ubuntu Linux Native

@Transport Fever Gameplay and Performance on Ubuntu Linux (Native)
Transport Fever running natively on Ubuntu 16.04 64bit! This new title to Linux is brought to us by Urban Games, and as a day ONE release! The thumbnail of the video is from 6:10 if you're curious. I run this tycoon simulation with maxed out settings at 1080p in this video, and with the frame counter on the top left you can get an idea of what type of performance I'm getting with this title. Transport Fever is solely a keyboard and mouse computer game, so no controllers to my knowledge. This is a really cool day one port, since Urban Games is using an in-house game engine they made for Train Fever, their previous title. This means they dedicated time to develop specifically for our Linux platform! I would have loved to go more in-depth with the game, but I was only given access to it shortly before release. A big thanks to Tom from Urban Games for providing me with this copy. The FPS counter on the top left is the Steam Overlay fps counter for those wondering. Overall, the simple verdict is that the game runs very well. There are a few hitches here and there, and ever so often when entering a loading screen the game seems to stop doing anything for a few seconds. No doubt these will be ironed out, as I'm playing the game at pre-release. This video is recorded at 1080p 60fps. A Blackmagic Intensity Pro 4k was used to record the footage on a separate machine, so no performance loss happens due to recording. If you love tycoon games and simulation, love handling transport systems like a civil engineer, then Transport Fever is a must get for your Linux gaming library!
