I’ve been in practice for over 20 years and have assisted hundreds of individuals and couples in developing supportive and loving relationships. I believe when our significant relationships are challenging, life becomes a burden. On the other hand, if our relationships are working well, we can weather any storm that life sends us. In addition to my clinical practice, I am a professor of Marriage and Family Therapy. Besides being rewarding, teaching in a professional school keeps me up to date with the best practices in our profession. I have authored two books – The Grace Filled Divorce – which focuses on helping individuals create new lives after divorce and The Treatment of Substance Use Disorders and the Family – which was written to help families facing a loved one’s addiction.
