Pete Kirby's video: Lipo charging test and intentional fire - safety demo and a cheap solution

@Lipo charging test and intentional fire - safety demo and a cheap solution.
After several friends have had close calls (and a lost house) due to lipo batteries igniting, I have devised and tested an easy (and cheap) way to minimize the fire damage. I use a deep baking dish for the battery. I use silica (paving) sand in a plastic or polythene bag and place it over the battery pack. Simply lift the bag off when the battery is charged. If the battery ignites, the plastic bag melts and the sand helps contain the fire while still letting the pressure of hot gases to escape. Cheap and easy. There are many guidelines for storage suggestions but my charged and uncharged packs are in steel containers. Always have a smoke alarm in your shed. While I have flown lipo's for over 10 years without incident, others have been less fortunate.
