Pilot Vlogs's video: Are you too OLD to be a PILOT

One of the questions I am frequently asked is if people are “too old” to switch careers or start flight training and become a professional pilot. I don’t believe you are too old. I think that if you are willing to sacrifice and live “not fancy” for a few years, you can make training work later in your life. Or, maybe you’ve done training previously and want to leave your corporate job and get back into aviation, you can do that too! There is definitely demand for pilots right now. We need more pilots. However, that may change as the economy changes. My best advice is to hedge your bet...if you’re planning on leaving something for a career in aviation, what is your fall back if aviation doesn’t work? How easily can you go back to your previous job? How can you support yourself and/or family while you train and make the sacrifices necessary to begin this exciting career? For more specific answers, I recommend reaching out to your local flight school, or talk to the people who have the same type of flying career you desire. This advice is not intended for every specific scenario, but to get you thinking about things you may or may not have previously considered.
