Gangneung is one of the best places to enjoy the East Sea. The entire coast is full of beach fun. It was part of the 2018 Winter Olympics, it's a hot drama location(aka. Goblin, She was pretty, Mr. Sunshine, Legend of the Blue Sea etc) Gangneung is so big and beautiful. There are many cute cafes around, you can take the rail bike or the train along the coast. There is just so much to do, I wish I could have stayed longer. In the future, I will definitely go back~ I stayed near the beaches, so I could get in some early beach fun before I had to go home. The beaches were so clean and unpolluted. If you go, please make sure to keep it that way. There were many couples who walked along the beaches- ah yes, long walks on the beach, how romantic. People always seem to be nicer when they live near the ocean. Maybe it's because that's all we really need in life, sunshine and the sounds of the ocean waves. My hostel was really close to the Tofu Village so I stopped by twice to try out the famous Chodang tofu. It was a little taste of heaven. The softness were like clouds in the sky, and the nuttiness of the beans and seawater in perfect harmony. I would have more of that gelato to be honest.
