Follow me around to see what happens at school! It's vacation time for the kids and I'm in my office enjoying all my peaceful time. It might be a little confusing to have classes even during vacation, but that's how things are here. Everything will come to you via SURPRISE! (actually it's because I teach at two schools but whatever) School culture is an important thing to know about when teaching English in Korea. Slippers are a must. Greeting everyone you see, because why not? Cafeteria lunch is the best! They always have rice, soup, kimchi and other sides/banchan. My school literally has a different menu every single day. It's awesome! Oh and then brushing your teeth after lunch~~ 치카치카 (my gr4's taught me that, how adorable!) I briefly mentioned the cleaning supplies in the office. Well actually, the students do most of the cleaning! During the school year, they are assigned different rooms to clean. Everyday, a couple of students will come into the office and help us sweep and mop the floors. Because the kids spend so much time at school, it's like their second home and they like to take care of it-- hence the cleaning. However, during vacation, it's up to ourselves to do the cleaning.
