**Don't watch when hungry** Sure Penang has many historical infrastructures from colonial times, and the recent street art has gathered attention from around the world... but Penang food is incredibly delicious in its own character. A city with a diverse population, the best way to know the people and their culture is through their dishes. Carrie and I went on a two-day-long adventure to try as many street foods as we could. From early morning breakfast food to exotic drinks we've never heard of, and most importantly the infamous musang king durian. It's definitely a debatable fruit, not everyone can stand the smell... Nevertheless, the people in Penang are some of the nicest people you'd meet on the street(and I'm Canadian.) They were so helpful, friendly and welcoming. Maybe living on such a lovely, chill island with delicious food, it's hard not to be nice. There were some places we missed, like the hokkien mee, it was unexpectedly closed when we went. Such a disappointment... but our food itinerary is definitely something I am quite proud of. If I go back, I will want to try them again.. and hit up some new spots. Many of the places I found through a FB page called "Penang Foodie". They introduce so many local foodie spots. I feel like one of the main reasons I wanted to visit Penang was because of this page. Anyway, I thought I could finish the Penang vlogs in two parts but it turns out the food adventure was longer.. so stay tuned for part 3 where we stopped by a supermarket, the Jetty Clans and China house(...a very interesting cafe).
