Just another causal Tuesday teaching and then chilling at a cafe. Today I traveled to Changwon and explored Masan. There's a nice cafe close to the art mural village Changbong Art Village. I noticed that there is an uprising trend in Korea- art mural villages. Basically, just streets and little alleys that have cute art murals on the walls. These villages are home to many artists and cafes. I've been running into many of these art clusters around Korea. Each have their own themes and house unique artists. They are great places for photographers and people who love good old artsy fartsy feels. Korea is also known for its big cafe culture. It never hurts to check out any you see on social media because they are popular for a reason! Choodabang has many cute designs that are bound to spark your creative imagination. Come here for inspiration on your next adventure. GOE, ah~~ so, there are many ways and opportunities to teach in Korea. Whether it's through private academies, government programs(EPIK, GEPIK, SMOE, TALK, GOE etc), if you want to teach English here, you can. GOE is the English program for Gyeongsangnamdo province and they hire teachers year round- perfect if you miss the hiring seasons. With monthly intakes, their orientation is a lot smaller and shorter. The first day you get your health check, contracts, placement, and lectures about school and Korean culture. Second day, your co-teachers pick you up and off you go to your school! This can seem quite overwhelming as there isn't much transition time.
