Vix in Japan's video: Learning Japanese - Is it easy to become fluent living in Japan

In the last in this current series of videos, my friend Bea and I talk about the challenges of learning Japanese in Japan and whether you can become fluent easily by living in Japan. We both lived in the far northern prefecture of Iwate living in environments where English was almost never heard let alone spoken anywhere in the region, so we both had no choice but to work on our Japanese language skills. The question is, are either of us fluent after 3-5 years of living in Japan? During this series of discussions we will talk about the job, learning Japanese, Japan itself, what we enjoy and maybe at times some of the struggles as well. Also, I won't be afraid to ask her about some of the issues that maybe she faces that perhaps I don't.
