In a world filled with cellphones and the internet, Wally (Brian Stevens) likes to sell things the old fashioned way...door to door. Sporting an adult tricycle, Wally makes his way through the concrete jungles of suburbia. Armed with two suitcases full of product, Wally brings the wares of The General Specific to the people of the world. Only one thing stands in his way... his boss Mr. Meaner (Brendan Flannery). Meaner informs Wally he has one week to sell twenty thousand dollars worth of product or lose his job. Wally, left with no choice, hits the streets with one thing on his mind...always be sellin! THE GENERAL SPECIFIC was shot entirely in Ohio, and boasts a large ensemble cast. "Most independent films center around a few characters to keep production simple," says writer-director, Jason Heinrich. "But I wanted to focus on one sane character meeting multiple insane characters. There were even times people played multiple roles, a nod to some of my favorite comedies and comedic performers." Heinrich, originally from Cleveland, Ohio, attended USC film school. "When production began, I knew we had something special," Heinrich said. "Everyone on the set was laughing, and we all realized we were making a really funny movie. Thanks in large part to Brian's performance." Brian Stevens plays the lovable loser Wally Floorie. Likened to Chris Farley, John Candy, and the ever present Jonah Hill, Stevens' performance is the glue that keeps this comedic kaliedescope together. "I was channeling Ben Stiller," says Stevens. "Reacting to awkward situations, which of course happens the entire film." "At the end of the day, I just wanted to make people laugh", says Heinrich. "And I feel we accomplished that mission."
