This position is reached after 5 years of being in the business and active in more than 11 Cities Ather is now moving to 27 cities. No. Company Sales in 2021 (6 months) 1 Hero Electric 11,432 2 Okinawa 5,903 3 Ampere 3,899 4 Ather 3,758 5 Pure EV 2,630 • Okinawa sold approximately half the number of Hero Electric • Ampere sold approximately half of Okinawa • Ather also sold approximately half of Okinawa & less than Ampere • PureEV sold approximately half of Ather Note: These numbers are after: • Petrol Price has Rs 107/Ltr • Excellent Govt support via FAME 2 subsidy • Petrol scooters give mileage of just 50km/ltr… meaning for every 50kms you pay Rs 107 END OF HONEYMOON PERIOD FOR ATHER!!! 5 years after its launch in 2016 Ather failed to capitalize this almost-no-competitor market and all Ather could muster was 4th place. This is in spite of creating the best Indian scooter EVER! The sad part is that this HONEYMOON phase of Ather is now OVER!
