Legacy of Lunatic Kingdom: the most memed game by the west and east; This patch was worked on by Daikarasu and only yesterday was its first release; This time enemies can call for random patterns, both bosses and stage enemies. Generating both hilarious but impossible situations, only possible in the mode “Legacy”; I didn’t manage to clear it due to continuous crashes, but it was certainly entertaining, at least. This patch mods the same so enemies can call for random patterns. Stage enemies (and Sagume’s yin yangs) summon stage patterns whereas bosses summon boss patterns. How a pattern is summoned depends on the enemy’s behaviour. If the enemy shoots suicide bullets (for instance, post-Doremy midboss or S6C1) then they only shoot once they are killed. If a boss uses many patterns in a short time (say Seiran’s final) then expect to bomb once or twice on such an attack. Sometimes it’s not obvious how many patterns a boss summons, but this patch will teach you the hard way. THIS VIDEO IS NOT A CLEAR - the game originally crashed at 30:12 because Sanae’s bomb cancels too many enemies. Junko ended up using Sagume’s third spell and my PC couldn’t handle such a great cancel, thus my game crashed. Therefore, this run is spliced. Furthermore, I used auto-bombs. I would find it rather frustrating if I couldn’t auto-bomb since I would never let down my guard and always have panic bombs. “Why don’t you just try again?” This is not my first time entering stage 6. I’ve had several good runs die due to a sudden crash and this run has made it the farthest. When playing such a chaotic patch I always record it live in case my game would crash when trying to record the replay. I got sick of the crashes so I edited the video together. I didn’t play on Point Device because that would imply I would edit the video where I capture the chapters I managed to NMNB (or in some cases, NM1B/NM2B). This of course implies I get easy patterns, which isn’t as fun to watch as seeing me getting some ridiculously insane pattern combinations. “Why is this patch called the “Mario Kart 8 Deluxe” patch?” Daikarasu, who is the creator of this patch, has stated that he doesn’t mind how the patches are called. I personally chose this name since it fits the patch in my opinion. One can imagine the stage enemies “choosing” an attack to use against the player. Some are lame but others are detrimental to the player, just like the items you can get in Mario. One particular item in MK8D is also known as “The Crazy 8”, which gives the player eight items. This item is supposed to mimic Sagume’s twelve yin yangs who all shoot a random stage enemy’s pattern.
