If Krillin had Joined Piccolo & Gohan for training at the very least its safe to assume that the Saiyan saga would have gone easier for the z-fighters. First and foremost there is the obvious benefit of an immediate somewhat relevant training partner for Piccolo and a softer and more familiar teacher for Gohan, but we should also keep in mind certain things like this trio’s affinity for one another that’s later seen and expanded on by filler in the garlic saga as well as the fact that in the saiyan saga they were very much the last and most effective line of defense before Goku arrived, with the largest flaw in their plan simply being Gohan’s confidence and lack of battle experience, but Krillin can fix that in very simple ways let alone more elaborate stuff like getting Piccolo to start Gohan off with mediation and image training before putting him on an exercise regiment with weighted gear while the two of them spar in rematches of their 23rd world tournament match, constantly ramping up their power and strategic arsenal by training as two of the craftiest brainacs the heroes have to offer, which also means this version of Gohan would more than likely gain some confidence earlier but he’d likely find a balance of his brains and brawns faster as well Even if their power levels may only get a small jump from this change when being generous their increased coordination and trust would turn them into a nightmare for the saiyans..
