@China blasts off 5G broadband satellites atop Long March 2C
China successfully launched 7 satellites from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in SW China, atop a Long March 2C Y62 carrier rocket, testing out its first ‘constellation’ of 5G broadband satellite, on March 05, 2022 Beijing Time. The launch successfully deployed 6 Galaxy Space satellites, Yinhe-1, and XINGYUAN-2 satellite as secondary passenger. The 227-kilogram Galaxy-1 is Chinese technology demonstration satellite for global 5G communications constellation for Chinese satellite firm GalaxySpace. The company plans to launch 144 satellites for the constellation over the next three years. GalaxySpace wants to provide high-speed, low-latency communications services globally. This was China’s 5th orbital rocket launch of the year, and 410th launch of the Long March family of rockets. #长征二号丙 Voiceover: Vikram Barhat Credit: CNSA
