He advised people claiming benefits as a result to: 1. Ask your employer for furlough payments, or if you’re self-employed then HMRC will contact you 2. If you’ve got savings below £16k apply for Universal Credit - don’t delay - apply online, be patient, and use DWP’s ‘we’ll call you back’ service 3. Ask your LA for help with council tax support and other discretionary support 4.
