Well, I have to tell you there have been many ups and downs on Politically Impaired, and YouTube has played its hand like a tyrant. When I first joined the platform getting monetized was easy, in fact I was monetized after only four videos and very little subscribers of views. But everything has changed and now, the platform of free speech and liberation of thought has become an online totalitarian Stalinist regime of censorship and oppression of thought. First came the Adpocalypse. In this first run of political attack, ads were pulled from any content that challenged the status quo, deeming any controversial opinion that wasn’t leftist friend hate speech or dangerous thinking. About 80% of my videos were demonetized. The option to challenge a videos demonetization, and have actual person (not a YouTube Robot) review the video, was worrisome. If the content was reviewed and still deemed unfit for ads, this counted as a strike against the channel in question. After three strikes, a YouTuber would face grave consequences including complete demonetization through the channel, and possibly even the deleting of the entire channel. Erasing years of devotion, thought and creativity simply for challenging the big guys. The lesson: never bite the hand that feeds. Us content creators were lied to. We were told we were partners ... we are slaves. Consistently begging for scraps from the YouTube table, hoping they will throw us just a small bit of attention so that we can continue pumping out content. Partner work with one another, they do not oppress and threaten to destroy one another based on their opinions. Because YouTube makes their money with ads, they scarcely promote any video that that has been demonetized, and without YouTube suggesting your content to potential subscribers, every video is doomed to fail. In other words, play by their rules or watch your career flushed down the toilet. Bend to the political ideals of the left, or be destroyed. Is YouTube Biased ? It certainly seems so. As long as YouTube continues to feed the leftist agenda and their political correctness they will never be the raw , uncut persona of their former selves. As part of the YouTube family, I can't help but feel the biased punishment of my masters. I am politically impaired , I am politically incorrect. I am also a proud Toronto Maple Leafs Fan from Belleville Ontario.
