Lanta island is big and so charming. There are so many beaches where you can just sit back and relax with some fresh salty breeze, white powdered sand, clean and clear water, so what you need is just some towels and drinks to stay hydrated or either go chill by the bars sipping some cheap cold beers or tasty cocktails. The first day when we arrived in Lanta; it was raining and so cloudy. I stopped and had dinner at a local restaurant with a very warm welcome. They greeted us with the big smiles and provided us a table with the menu. I started to order some food; the owner recommend all the menu with such good hospitality; we ordered a few dishes. All the food is freshly prepared and cooked once we finished our dishes the lady owner offered us some mango smoothies and some pineapple for free. I really do appreciate in her kindness which I don't really get this kind offer even in my own city. Klong Dao beach, wide, long beach, was where we went—here you will have everything you need: bars, restaurants, massage places, groceries stores, fresh fruit juice and so on. You will totally have plenty of space for yourself here to enjoy the sun; it was so real nice, to just listen to the waves, to float in clear water, to snorkel and see some fish. The best part was the weather— the sun was out all day long—its light reflects with the water which so satisfying to watch. We stayed in the water until the sun was going down—that evening was such a peaceful moment we had. Black coral in Klong Dao beach was the dinner place we went a few times while we stayed there. I heard it from a receptionist who worked in a bungalow we stayed. The Black Coral was located right by the beach with very nice lights and tables. Its building was decorated with white and black, the sign "Black Coral"—easy to notice. The food we ordered the first day was a lot since we got so hungry from the snorkeling trip, so I ordered 4 or 5 dishes and some cocktails. The cocktails were served first; they were tasty. I sipped my mojito under a very bright moon and its light brightens up the sky and reflects on the ocean at night. It didn’t take long until the first dish came—the roasted duck with fresh coconut milk spicy level 1 was served. It tasted so flavorful and I had it with jasmine rice. The spicy shrimp soup or “Tom Yum Koong”, was so, so good— so yummy—the shrimp size is also big and worth the price you paid. My mouth is still watering when thinking about it. The seafood here was so fresh since most of the restaurants here own a fishing boat to catch all the fish. I was so impressed with everything here—Its place and people are just so well together. I can feel welcomed and safe here. locals here are very friendly and happy to help you out. they will talk with the smiles and then will totally recommend you some good places to go, or you can either ask the activities you would like to do here: snorkeling, kayaking, elephant riding, and hiking. They sure know the best place to go and get you a reasonable price, of course.
