People are going to say what they're going to say, and sometimes, many times...it's going to be hateful. Why? Because the truth is, deep down, most people...hate themselves, and it is so much "easier" to criticize others...than it is to face the pain...the broken...the gaping, infected, seeping wounds...which lie within. Out of the abundance of the heart does the mouth speak...and when a person is full of self-hatred, it cannot help but fester and eventually ooze out onto some unsuspecting, innocent by-stander. But something you MUST remember my dear friends...another person's opinion...does NOT define you! Their cruel words, are a reflection of their own sin-distorted heart...and in NO way is a reflection of you. In Christ, you are a righteous, redeemed, chosen, accepted, priceless, and infinitely loved child of the most high GOD--and NOTHING...no opinion, no mistake, NOT ANYTHING, can ever change the TRUTH in WHO you now are in Jesus Christ! Love your enemies---Those who hurt you...who say all kinds of evil against you...realizing that they are nothing more than a prisoner and tool of satan himself.... and their words, their acts of cruelty, are nothing more than the manifestation of their own dead, broken, and lost state, as they try to function outside of the love and grace of the one and only Savior, Jesus Christ, who can give them new life...and a heart of flesh for their broken and dead...heart of stone. CHOOSE to love them, to forgive them, just as your Father in Heaven has forgiven you...and pray for them, just as our Lord asks of us...because they need your prayers..the effective and fervent prayers of the righteous...and an encounter with the Living God....more than you could ever realize... Mathew 5:43-48: 43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47 And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? 48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
