First introduced between Coimbatore and Bengaluru in 2018, this "Uday" brand of trains threw open a new and fascinating way of train travel. For the first time in Indian Railways, a train offered its passengers a lobby or a sort of food court with wide windows to enjoy snacks and relish a journey. With a view to extending this service to other parts of India, the second Uday was introduced between Visakhapatnam & Vijaywada to run along India's east coast and provide fast and comfortable intercity travel between the two cities of Andhra Pradesh. This video is all about this Uday. Numbered 22701/2, it covers the distance of around 350 kms in little more than 5 hours. But what makes it special is its unique coaches.
