Set in the second last week of , just prior to Christmas, witness the train's run from Howrah to , the capital of , where this installment ends. Don't miss Part TWO featuring the Raipur Mumbai run. Link for PART TWO : https://youtu.be/Dqa8W5KBjfY Led by its usual link (WAP-4 ), we depart Howrah delayed marginally by 10 minutes. A steady run follows but we end up finding ourselves behind time by an hour and more at , thanks to some dense fog early next morning. However, the slow yet steady passage through the fog, with reduced visibility, is one to relish, especially the late sunrise orchestrating a magical view of the sun cutting through the fog behind the trees of the belt. A crossing with the twin ALCo led amidst all these only adds to the charm and to history as well; presently the twins have been replaced by some electric link. At , I was delighted to meet a fellow rail-lover Mr. Bhismadev Khamari, based in , who had been waiting for over an hour just to meet me. I still cannot thank you enough brother and look forward to meeting you again soon! Post Jharsuguda, crossing the river, we finally pick up some pace through the , draped in winter colors, towards and . As we near , notice the landscape gradually giving away to flat undulating lands, mostly barren but some cultivated and dust of coal and mineral flying in the air. We cross loaded freights at regular intervals, very much a sign of us passing through . Our train undergoes a thorough cleanup and water filling at Bilaspur, where we are delayed by nearly 2 hours already. We encounter a flurry of crossings as we embark upon the run to . River happens to be the only source of some water in what is mostly a barren and mineral studded belt. Converging with the tracks from and on our left, we arrive Raipur at 13:10, stomach full of hunger and heart yearning for an unerring run henceforth.
