In this episode of Tiff Goes To Korea, I celebrate Chuseok at Gyeongbukgung Palace where I try on a hanbok for the very first time, go to Gwanghwamun Square and learn about the history of King Sejong and the creation of Hangul (the korean alphabet). We then stop by the Cheonggyecheon River/Stream and enjoy the cool afternoon breeze then head over to Insadong where we go to the Ssamziegil shopping center to see the infamous Poop Cafe! Sadly we didn't have time to visit until we made our way back to the stream to enjoy a bit of the nightlife in Seoul. See you in the next adventure! Tips for this episode: 1. Avoid going to the palace on a weekend! Gets super crowded (unless you are okay with that). PALACE IS CLOSED ON TUESDAYS! 2. Hanbok rentals are just down the street from the palace. (If you are coming from Gwanghwamun square and looking straight at the palace, the hanbok rentals are on the left side across the street. If you are coming from Gyeongbukgung subway exit 4 - you should see one immediately as you come out of the station or just turn left for more options. I recommend Seohwa hanbok. About 18,000w for 4 hours including hair accessories.) Visit cheonggyecheon river at night! Sooo much prettier!! 4. Avoid going to ssamsiegil on the weekend as well. Might be because we were there chuseok weekend but it was soooo crowded!
