I'd made it up to my good friend's homestead way up in northern Sweden. It had been 3 years since I last saw these guys, as we all B-lined it out of the UK after the Covid and the lockdowns horrors, the UK no longer feeling like home. The only saving grace being Am-Bol-East, our lockdown camp with owner Jez. Yet after all this time it felt like a day or 2 ago, we caught up, got straight back into our usual antics and they showed me around their new home. Things were not going so well behind the veneer of online presence. A build up of adverse situations both public and private culminated into somewhat of a derail. I needed an out, a reset, so I set off on anover-due journey in my self converted Sprinter Ambulance to ascertain the source of my issues. It worked back in 2018 when I first set off in this old battered truck and embarked into Vanlife, so maybe it could work again now. I had a destination in mind but no other plan from there, just like I used to. Maybe along the way I'd get jolted back onto the rails I'd managed to fall off.
