Here is a 40 min. test I did in After Effects and some black cloth. Ideally you would want to do this with blue. Too much green and black on the actual puppet. Used the foreground bush to cover all the mistakes from the blacks not registering. If I had a couple of hours and blue cloth I think it would look incredible. Imagine what kids will be able to do with a little puppeteering and some imagination.
