@Barn Finders playthrough Part 07 Well-deserved vacation [FINAL]
For all the information and all the "whys", please read the description of Part 01. This is the final part of my playthrough. The ending is around 44:31. The rest of the video is just me trying to find all the remaining items to complete the catalogue and revisiting all the locations to do a quick sweep. Unfortunately, it is impossible to get 100% in the catalogue (at least that was my case) because I clearly had some of the items (like 'warrior's mask') but it simply would not register in the catalogue. So I finished the game with completion around 97.5% and all the store upgrades, including furniture. I wanted to continue the game later on to just sell all my stuff and check how much money I'd earn but... meanwhile I wanted to create a new game to get the Bid Wars Event achievement, because it glitched in my 1st run. NEVER click 'new game' if you want to keep your original progress. I thought clicking 'New game' would move me back to the main menu and then I would create a new profile/game. Instead, it starts a new game right away and REPLACES YOUR SAVE FILE. I immediately realized it and hit alt+f4. It was too late, the save was created automatically and I lost all my progress. That should not be a thing! To sum up the game, I had really enjoyed it and had a good laugh here and there. Originally, I expected the game to be more down-to-earth and I probably would prefer a strict simulator, without aliens, weird locations and all the "Ameryka" humor. But still, if you don't mind the satirical tone of the story, the game is a good springboard from triple A titles. However, there are some major flaws: - as I mentioned in one of the previous videos, you get only one save per profile, which may lead to many unpleasant situations (you go to bid wars and then decide you want to go back? Sorry, you will lose the bid wars event and can do nothing about it); - I really don't understand why they added the fuel aspect to the game, it's fine on the world map - you pay for fuel to get somewhere. But why can you find fuel as an item in the very first stages, to then never see them again? Why is it even a game mechanic? I get it that at the beginning of the game you have no cash to pay for fuel, so you can find it, but why they completely removed fuel as an item in the rest of the game? It's just as if someone forgot about it... - my last gripe is slightly connected with the previous one: searching through drawers and cabinets. At the beginning of the game it's fun and you can see that the devs were pretty creative. Later on in the game it becomes pointless and obsolete. 90% of the time you find nothing. Even during bid wars, you find chests and secret safes and they are EMPTY? Why even adding them? Again, it just seems that they created the levels but later on they had little time to fill them with items. The game could also use more variety: finding items in all the crates and boxes you destroy would be a nice addition to the game. Or an option to sell all the clutter. What's the point of having 1000+ repair materials if you have nothing to repair ;/ I'd give this ame a 7/10. If you expect a very open-ended simulator (like Car Mechanic Simulator), I'd suggest you should avoid this title, otherwise you will be pretty disappointed;/ NOTE: This is a copy of my stream so whenever there is a pause, on most occassions it is because I was focused on the chat.
