Purr Glass's video: How to Clean a Glass Bong with Salt and Alcohol by Purr

Getting your favorite piece cleaned and shining like new shouldn't be a hassle. We give you the rundown on how to easily clean your glass bong, so you can continue having smooth and flavorful hits. To get started, all you need is some 99 percent isopropyl alcohol, coarse salt, a container for your downstem and bowl, and a microwave. Simply pour your iso into the container, and add salt. Place the iso in the microwave and heat for 20-40 seconds, depending on your microwave. Remove the iso and pour some into your bong, just enough so it doesn't pour out your ground joint. Place either the downstem or bowl in the container, but don't do both at the same time. This ensures you don't break either piece during cleaning. Let the piece sit for a bit while you clean your bong. You can either stop up the ends of your bong with thick paper towel, so you don't get material on your hand, or you can just cap both ends with your hands. Shake the solution inside the bong enough and you will see the residue melt away. When its sufficiently clean enough, dump the solution from the bong into the container. With the container closed, shake your piece around and the grime should come right off. If it doesn't, you can use a pipe cleaner, dirty toothbrush, or qtip to help clean it all off. After the first piece is clean, remove it from the container and place the other piece of the bong that hasn't been cleaned yet, into the container. You can take the clean piece and the bong to the sink to rinse out any solution or grime left. Repeat the process for the last dirty piece of your bong and you're done!
