Purr Glass's video: How to Blow Glass Pipes Bongs Bubblers and More by Purr - Part 10

@How to Blow Glass Pipes, Bongs, Bubblers, and More by Purr - Part 10
A constant question we get at Purr is, "What do I need to start blowing glass?". In this mini series we are going to walk you through our very own shop and talk about some of the basic things you'll need to start blowing your own glass pipes, bongs, rigs, pendents, bubblers and more. All of our glass is American made and handcrafted out of Chatsworth, Los Angeles, California. We dive into the methods he uses to create our custom dab rigs. To start, we use a 38mm chamber, a prepped up showerhead downstem, our splash-guard mouthpiece design, and a 14mm ground joint. The ground joint is marked, cut and flared so that it can attach to the top of the chamber. This chamber is popped open to seal the downstem inside, and cleaned up so the ground joint seals cleanly with the downstem. The point where the mouthpiece is attached gets volcanoed and popped to attach the water-catching mouthpiece, using steady breath on the blowhose and plenty of heat. Once all connections are sealed and polished, the base is ready to be flattened. Just like all bases and chambers, a large amount of heat and time is necessary. A few puffs to thicken the base, and you can flatten the piece on the marver.
