Pushkin House's video: Disrespecting the State poetry reading by Galina Rymbu

[contains some adult themes and strong language] In this clip from our last public event in the House, on 13th March, poet Galina Rymbu and translator Helena Kernan read Galina's poem 'Disrespecting the State' (Оскорбление власти) in Russian and English, and discuss the meaning and impact of the poem. (Reading starts at 5:30). Galina and Helena were in Britain participating in the first Pushkin House The Contemporary Russian Poetry in Translation Residency. The residency offers a translator and a living ‘Russian language’ poet an opportunity to meet and work together over three weeks.
