Question Everything's video: HIV and the purported Heterosexual Transmission of HIV

@HIV and the purported Heterosexual Transmission of HIV
Previously unreleased footage. The reason Padian did the prospective study is because, as she acknowledges and everyone knows, a cross-sectional study does not prove transmission. It just proves that sexual partners, who also may have other sexual partners, are infected. One of Padian’s cross-sectional studies in another paper. At that time (1991) she had one female to male transmission but expressed doubts about its validity. By the 1995 paper she had another female to male case but expressed doubts about that as well. Which means after ten years she had no evidence men can get HIV from “infected” women. (And why so few if we’re all at risk and sex is still a very popular pastime?) You cannot prove HIV is an STD unless you prove male to female AND female to male transmission. Cross sectional studies prove neither, not hers not anyone else’s. That is why she did a prospective study. She had to. As did de Vincenzi, the only other such study). The Rakai study is not prosective. Please note that an unknown number of Padian’s patients were diagnosed HIV infected using an ELISA/Western blot where the criteria for a positive WB were "antibodies to p24 (core polypeptide) and or gp41") [1]. These are no longer accepted proof of infection in most countries, institutions or laboratories. She was using these criteria in her 1987 cross-sectional studies and after that did not elaborate on what constituted serological evidence of HIV infection. This is a point worth making given she only has two “positive” men after all this time. Heterosexual Transmission of Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) in Northern California: Results from a Ten-year Study "Nevertheless, the absence of seroincident infection over the course of the study cannot be entirely attributed to significant behavior change. No transmission occurred among the 25 per- cent of couples who did not use condoms consistently at their last follow-up nor among the 47 couples who intermittently practiced unsafe sex during the entire duration of follow-up."
