Quirky Cooking's video: Prepare-Ahead Cooking Tips

@"Prepare-Ahead" Cooking Tips!
Here's some food-prep tips and recipe ideas I find useful on busy weeks! In this video I was cooking some meals to stock up for the week, but unexpectedly ended up with 20 people for dinner. (Lucky I had food prepared! :D ) Recipes are from my Simple, Healing Food cookbook (http://quirkycooking.com.au/simplehealingfood) - Braised steak & gravy (serve over mash with veggies, or make into pies; can add mushrooms and/or kidneys with the beef) - Lamb chop hot pot (use whatever veg is in season, layering harder veggies on the bottom to softer veggies on the top) - Spicy pumpkin mash with baked eggs (I made a double batch of pumpkin & sweet potato mash with the added spices, and served it with the braised beef & gravy plus peas & green beans) - Chicken stock (always handy to have in the freezer ready to add to meals; use poached chicken for lunches or in pies or soups) Plus salad, and a few sweet snacks that were in the freezer: - Jellies (use whatever fruit you have on hand, except maybe banana...) - Chocolate banana cake (you can use the banana in this! :D make into cake or cupcakes, recipe here: https://quirkycooking.com.au/2015/07/grain-free-egg-free-chocolate-banana-cake/) - or Chocolate celebration cake (no banana, grain free, recipe in Simple, Healing Food)
